LEARN TO QUILL!
Quilling - the art of paper filigree - involves rolling and curling narrow strips of paper to create distinctive greetings cards, pictures, 3D objects, jewellery and decorations. |
It's an ancient art, whose history can be traced right back to medieval times. In 18th century England, it ranked alongside embroidery as a suitable pastime for 'accomplished' young ladies, and is currently enjoying a great resurgence of popularity right across the world.
At first glance, quilling may appear to be 'fiddly' and complicated, but in fact the basics can quite easily be mastered by people of all ages.
People who attend my workshops are usually pleasantly surprised to find that they can produce an attractive quilled motif for a gift tag or greetings card in less than an hour!
I conduct quilling workshops for small groups; 'Make and Take' drop-in workshops for public events; activity afternoons in elderly care homes, children's parties ... and can also offer individual tuition. Please click on the appropriate links to find out more.
COVID-19 UPDATE: I am now also offering online tuition via Zoom!
